Course Overview
This course is designed for parents and teens (ages roughly 12–18) to take together. Each week is built around a single theme, with shared readings, a guided conversation, and a hands-on activity that gets families experimenting with AI side by side rather than in separate rooms.
Format: 6 weekly modules, roughly 60–90 minutes each Audience: Parent + teen pairs (or small family groups) Goal: By the end of the course, families will share a working vocabulary for AI, a household agreement about its use, and the critical-thinking habits to keep adapting as the technology changes.
Weekly module structure: 1. Learning objectives — what you’ll be able to do by the end 2. Core concepts — short reading/watching to do separately before meeting 3. Discussion prompts — questions to work through together 4. At-home activity — a practical task to do as a pair 5. Parent resource list — credible supplemental material 6. Reflection — closing journal prompt
